Remember that pensioners can only apply for a tuition fee loan. They aren't eligible for maintenance loans.

I'm in my early 60s and started a degree with the Open University in 2014 and have used tuition fee loans to pay for my modules. I didn't have the opportunity to study when I was younger and I'm loving it. The OU is part time study that people can fit around their work and families and it is cheaper than normal universities. The support is good, with face to face tutorials about once a month and online tutorials regularly, although you don't have to attend any if you don't want to. The materials supplied are excellent.No, I don't have a degree - A levels (gained in 1961) yes, SW diploma yes, but no degree. I'm going to do some investigating ........ :-)
I expect to graduate next summer with a degree in history.
I'm already planning a STEM degree in environment science for next October.
I've found that studying certainly keeps the old brain cells on their toes!!!0
