The card is ugly to forewarn others of your low social standing.
Presumably you've noticed folk pointing and laughing every time you whip it out.
I think my Platinum Barclaycard is ugly, but at least it affords me some respect when I flash it.

The ugliest card I've ever had is my M&S debit card. It makes me want to vomit every time I take it out of my wallet.0

I wouldn't like using it at just under 40% interest. Get another card.0 -

It could be 100% but if you pay in full every month then it's as good as any other card.0 -
I think my Aqua card is really ugly. Thank goodness for Curve!0

Mine looks fine, certainly no more 'ugly' or 'beautiful' than any other card.0

The new style Aqua (just colours) is better than the older style Aqua (white with water splashes).
The Vanquis has never had a good design. Have you seen the new Tesco cards? They look like they were designed by a Year 10 on work experience.0 -
That's why every card should be like Barclays and allow you to have Louis Theroux's face on the card0

I don't mind it. I like the blue edges.0 -
OH has a Platinum Barclaycard but his is lighter and doesn’t have that pattern on it. It’s quite nice to look at especially when compared to his MBNA card which I think is ugly.
My Vanquis card is the chrome one and it is quite ugly! I don’t use it in shops though so it never gets judged (I use it purely for my train tickets to work which I buy online or by contactless at the machine then I clear it at the end of the month)
I rarely tap a card in a shop, just use my NatWest debit card via Apple Pay usually.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
