usb drives

Hi all .

I want to put some dvd ripz ive done and stick them on a usb .The tricky thing is i want it then to play through a projector. I can get it to see the drive but can only play one file at a time . What im after is something that will play the lot ,or do play lists of videos .
I have an old pc i can hook up to the projector and stick the usb in that ,but have no idea how to get software to auto play .
