Do I have to pay them ??

Options
Hi. I have used a ppi claims company for various ppi claims. The first ones were successful straight away and i had no issue paying the charges.
Then there was the last one. They did the search, we filled in the paper work and the bank came back and said NO! I wasnt happy with that so contacted them and went through more questions and again they said NO!
So I got in touch with the Ombudsman and did the whole process as to why I felt I had been mis sold the ppi. They got in touch with the bank who eventually agreed to pay me. At no point when the first letter was received with a NO did the claim company get in touch. So finally after 6 months of them saying no they said yes to me via the Ombudsman.
I have now received a letter from thd claims company asking for £600.00.
If they had been in touch when I was first told NO I would of had no issue paying them but they didnt.
Do I have to pay the??

If you never contacted the claims company to cancel your contract or the claims company never said that your complaint had been rejected and case closed then you owe them. If you cancelled the contract or the claims company said your case was closed then you dont pay them.

You agreed for the claim company to represent you in PPI complaints so, unless you have it in writing that this agreement was terminated, you'll have to pay their fee.
