best way to pay credit card

hi i have a really high interest cc with £2500 on it and paying £150 half of which is interest
i have money to pay half of it off should i pay the half and then try and do a balance transfer or do the transfer first then make payment

Pay off what you can first then balance transfer, it will reduce the balance transfer fee.0

Its always better to be paying as little interest as possible on any financial product especially a credit card.
Are you saying you already have a card with a BT offer OR you are thinking of applying for one to see what credit limit you get?
