    Reading that it would seem the hacker changed all the info over to his own so surely this can be traced and then prosecuted?

    It's more likely that the accounts were sold on than the hacker using them themselves.

    Even if they did it's unlikely they used their real information and most delivery places will deliver to public places (pubs/bars/etc) so you can avoid giving out your real address.
