Garden work quote

I have approached many companies but only had one turn up so far.
Does this sound reasonable - £9570 split roughly half and half labour for 10 days and material.
To do:
Garden clearance (2 days allocated)
Demolish old outbuilding.
Replace fencing.
Build patio 12ft x 6ft (basic slabs).
Base for shed 12ft x 12ft.
Removal of tree x 2 and hedge (fencing where hedge was).
Work done to rockery with widening of steps and rebuilding retaining walls x 2.

We don't know. We don't know what access is like, specification of fencing, how much fencing, concrete or timber posts,. 'Work done to rockery' means nothing to us. You need to persevere and get more quotes.

As Phil is saying you need to give far more detail. There needs to be a proper Specification to protect your interests and also to have something to quote against. This also means you can compare quotes. Your times allocated to the jobs strike me as unrealistic, and your labour rate of roughly £500 per day is absurd.

There are countles "garden" companies going around driving Transit pick ups with flashy paint jobs, with a towbar for pulling the family home, mobile phone only and pay cash. Is this the type of company who has quoted for you?
