bnb bookings coming in thick and fast :D I'm thankful OH is looking after the room and not working extra night shifts.

DD1 has paid off first part of her current loan (she does pay one of my cc for her car) I'm really proud she is working so hard.

I'm working double shifts until Tuesday so no chance to spend. Although I did OP the extra £92 to the mortgage :)

Wooo , 3 days off.... I hope my election fever is not met with a huge slump tomorrow :o

So discussions with mums social worker for her discharge. Looks like she will be going direct to my sisters from hospital... I can't offer her that so I accepted that months ago. I know my access to mum will be extremely limited. But the social worker is going to write it in her care plan she is to have access to all members of her family.

DD1s survey should have been completed yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed for that. OH shares should pay out 7th July.... They finalise amount 1st July :T:T: good job DD1 house purchase seems slow to give us time to cash them in :)

Still grabbing all of the cash and increasing the cc, under control.... just ;) we have one weekend free this month :T:T:T plus shifty lodger's rent... he brought a guy around to look at exterior staircase I want to reduce/change... was supposed to bring him back but hasn't... I WILL catch him later. looks like he's gone to work this morning. He's been on hols from main job as I have been worried he's spending his rent in the local.

Its GD babysitting this evening, and the 2nd week of my OH's "notofficiallyworkingextrashiftthursdaynightplan" I'd like to say he seems happy enough, but having been at work pretty much constantly we are a bit like ships that pass in the night :)

Does everyone have a tidy grill pan?

since "giving" the kitchen to my husband years ago I tend to only open the grill once in a while and it always drives me crackers that OH can't/won't wash the grill after use or wipe the top of the cooker, so every couple of weeks it has become my job to clean the cooker. We replaced our grill pan about 2 years ago, but I asked OH to pick one up a couple of months ago (he works were you sell them).

He disagreed and said it was fine to be charred... Any how guests want to make breakfast and OH work place doesn't have them, neither does the next big supermarket that sells everything. I've been scrubbing the kitchen since 7am the lessen the pain of the charred grill pan... I'm just waiting for the floor to dry before I polish the oven in case they look in there :eek:

Sometimes I do get carried away with it all.... I went to home bargains for water for the guests and spent £57...

Thanks Tallgirl... grill would look sparkly with a new pan... the oven on the other hand would need a proper job... not bad a few stains... but not a swift Saturday am fix.

The weather here is awful. My brother was to come today to take the ivy off the front terrace.. I imagine it's too wet to work outside :( He's skint too and would be happy with the cash. But he's 64 and needs TLC too.

We have the stair guy coming to assess the front elevation for the change in stairs.. I'm a little twitched as we probably need planning consent due to being in a conservation area.. once the ivy has gone the railings would be too low, so they will need raising. I'm thinking of the thinnest metal exterior staircase imaginable. even a mobile one that can be hooked on... I'm allowed portable no permanent structures I think, planning office didn't return my call yesterday :o

I also need to colour my hair... DD1 is too busy. We bought the colours this week but I need an hour of no one about to do that....

I also need to take back a side table to Home Barg, I bought it yesterday and It has a fault. it was only 11.99, but I've been on the lookout for one for a while. My side table is currently 2 wicker type storage boxes stacked on each other...

Brother due at 10am... not sure time of arrival of stair guy...

The last few weeks have gone in a blink. We have removes the Ivy hedge from our front terrace leaving us quite open now... I must have done about 20 tip runs, our best investment was a one tonne bag from the builder yards for a fiver.

bills all up to date, mortgage interest on the new deal has reduced by £100 per month to £7.69 a day :T:T:T

Unfortunately/fortunately we have not been paying as much to the mortgage because of DD1 and our Holiday.

DD1 should exchange contracts by the end of the month and we will gift her the deposit £7.5 k.... kinda weird aren't we, the only time we have a few bob in years and we give it away :o

Then savings will need to be replaced for September spends.

off to pick DD2 up from the south tomorrow for the summer... room for the night plus petrol leads to overspend. But it will be lovely to have her home for a bit (in theory ;) )

Garden abour looks loving and a Victorian metal swing arriving today, we may well put off new railings and staircase until next year..
