I made a claim for Universal Credit 3 weeks ago and handed in a fit note from my GP. I am starting a part time job on 4th December working 20 hours a week. I have now been sent a UC50 to complete. I phoned my local CAB and was advised to fill this in as if I am found to have limited capability for work I will benefit from the work allowance and the Job Centre won't put pressure on me to increase my hours. Can i still be found to have limited capability for work if I have a job ? I don't have PIP but it has been suggested that I apply for this will that make any difference?

Yes, although had you already been in work for 25 hours/week you would not have been referred for a Work Capability Assessment as your earnings would be over the threshold above which a WCA referral is not made. The threshold is 16 x National Minimum Wage.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
