I can confirm books don't do well on eBay, l tried to sell 30 books, only 1 sold.
Ebay is probably the one place I wouldn't sell my books. I've done not too badly on facebook by joining a few book groups or have swapped them with other books I want to sell. Was only asking 50p for paperbacks and £1 for hardbacks so not mega amounts of money but it still gets rid of them. Might try that again and see if I can get rid of any more.Did owe £9,951.96

I've been using FB for a year or so and have found it really mixed. A lot of timewasting goes on, people enquiring then ghosting you even after making plans for collection, or just being pretty rude. Some stuff goes really quickly - IKEA furniture is really popular, as are branded clothes and kids' stuff, but I've found but other things, even decent quality, can hang around. I also think it's got quieter in recent months - a lot of stuff being offered but not much buying. I'm definitely send more to the charity shop than before.
I've sent some nicer things to a local dress agency and should find out if they've sold tomorrow. Some high-end stuff (label handbags) I'm not sure what to do with as we don't have those kind of agencies locally and even some specialist online second-hand places have too much in their inventory and are saying no. It does seem like the market's changed.
I'm trying to clear out a bit ahead of a downsize housemove so would welcome anyone's ideas for other places to sell that have worked out for them.Choose kind0 -

There are a lot of timewasters on Facebook marketplace but I have sold a few things on there and it's free of charge. Books are difficult as there are so many places you can get them free. I have a constant supply from the old telephone box over the road and have had some brilliant books from a bus shelter, all free. You could try offering a bundle of books.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0

Ebay and Depop, I'd advocate depop as the sellers do respond more frequently and it is seen as a clothes marketplace.0

eBay for anything 2nd hand, and you can also list your used books on Amazon as well.0
