We want to offer payment to our Mail Order business via Credit Card - which system offers the best/cheapest method. They all seem very expensive to set up and run. Any help much appreciated.

There are a number of ways to accept credit cards and debit cards as means of payment. We have used a variety over the years including Paypal, Nochex, world pay etc.
The problem with the above companies:
Paypal:
Offers merchant very little protection and charges you 3.5% in fees. Customers may also need to open an account. Stay clear!
Nochex:
Secure payment for debit cards but limited to £100 or £300 if a verified user. Good but limited
Worldpay:
Charges 4.5% on credit card transactions and has a long settlement period. They offered us 8 weeks as we sell high risk items (i.e. PC's and Laptops). Costly transaction fees.
So what do we use now?
TERRAPAYMENTS!!!!!!
This has got to be the answer to small businesses who sell over the internet and via mail order. It costs just 3% for credit card transactions and around 50 pence for switch and solo. Settlement periods are initially 4 weeks but soon come down to 2 weeks.
My contact is Carole. They have an 0870 number but please find the national rate number below

I use Cardsave (their website is https://www.cardsave.net) for my business they were the cheapest around. You pay them a quarterly fee of around £80 and then between 2-3% of transactions which they get from you monthly. All your credit card payments get paid into your bank account in 4 days. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Are there any out there that just charge a % transaction fee and no monthly/quarterly fees?
EDIT: Had a look at NOCHEX and their Xtra acount looks the ticket.0 -
