Eggs and toast for breakfast is a good filler

Lunchtimes a cheese and bean jacket spud will stave of the hunger. With a piece of fruit and a glass of milk

Afternoon snack, simple buns or biscuits (hm with them helping)

Supper, bowl of cereal or toast

lunch was tuna poppyseed roll yoghurt and milk
snack chocci bar(ice lollies ) about 3 each so far
dinner was pizza and a banana
ice cream cone with sprinkles and it will be toast after there bath

That's wheat/flour-based products at pretty much every sitting. Their blood sugar must be all over the place.

Basics of good nutrition - plenty of vegetables (especially green leafy ones), good fats and high quality protein. Around that fit a small amount of wholegrains and starches (fruit, potatoes, rice etc).

    Eggs are brilliant for breakfast.

boil eggs the day before and store in the fridge in the shell and eat cold!

Instead of buying all your fresh stuff on payday and it being gone by the weekend why not buy a bit and put a few quids by and purchase fresh later in the week. Obviously I don't know how far you are from shops so that might not be practical, I have a main shopping street 30 seconds walk away and a greengrocer on the corner!

I have to buy fresh every 2-3 days or we have 'nothing' in the house.

I make up salads and pasta and they can help themselves from the fridge.. I have *snack shelves* .. they can have anything from those shelves but have to ask about other stuff as it is usually meal planned for.

Cheese straws, you can use frozen pastry or make your own, roll out, brush with milk, scatter with grated cheese, cut into strips & bake.
I also used to make scones, fairy cakes, flapjacks to fill mine up.

Trouble is, the stuff made with flour will make them hungrier overall, so you can end up spending more.

My son loves cheesy peasy omelettes. They are so quick and easy to make. I use FryLight so not too much fat. Put a few squirts of FryLight in a frying pan before adding frozen peas. Beat 1 or 2 eggs (depending on how hungry they are) and add to the peas. I use sliced cheese (not the horrid plastic shiny stuff, proper cheddar) and crumble a slice into the pan. You can add some ham as well if you like. The peas really retain their flavour
