Will I pay VAT duty handling charges?

I would like to buy this camera bag for £37.99:
Item number: 233174162469
from ebay but in the postage section there is a warning that says I could be charged extra customs fees.
I've looked on HMRC and from what I understand I'll pay VAT but not duty. Would the courier then add a handling fee?
Could anyone tell me if I'm correct please. The £37.99 bag might be about £50+ but I can't find it to buy from a UK supplier

Thank you, I always forget about Amazon.
Would the Amazon price be fixed or is that subject to possible import charges too as the business address is China but the delivery date suggested dispatch form UK?
Many thanksLove living in a village in the country side0 -
If it is dispatched from a UK warehouse you'll be fine, because it's already in the country so won't have to go through customs.
For overseas items, Royal Mail charge £8 flat fee. I don't know about other couriers; I received something today from Russia via Hermes, fully expecting to have to pay import VAT, but haven't been charged anything extra. I still can't work out how that happened :huh:0 -

If you Google the title of your eBay listing then Amazons listing comes before eBay.0 -
Many thanks. I ordered it on Amazon from a UK supplier so I know exactly what I paid without any nasty surprises
When I came to pay I found I had £8 in vouchers left from about 3 years ago so that was a nice surprise!
Just to add, I ordered it at 8.45pm choosing free postage and it was delivered at 10.20 the next dayLove living in a village in the country side0
