Lightbulbs for indoor photography

I would like to take some indoor photographs and have until now, just relied on natural light in a lean-to sun lounge.

With dark days a plenty, I think it would be better just to invest in a handful of daylight type bulbs and stick these in various table lamps.

What type of bulb would be best (bayonet fitting)
