Technophobe alert!
I have a Nokia 635 that I used to be able to connect to my chromebooks to upload photos. When I connected the phone to the computer, if I recall correctly, a little icon would appear at the bottom right hand corner. And if I went into 'settings' my phone would show up and I could view the photos that were on my phone. Now, for some reason, my phone isn't connecting. It will start to charge up, but it's not showing up anywhere.
Does anyone know why this might be? I'm getting really stressed out now - technology makes me sweat....

Not familiar with Nokia phone but when connecting to pc/laptop you usually have a option on phone to allow file transfer. On my phone it is a option from pull down menu"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Thanks for your reply, *dipsomaniac* - I've had a really good look on the phone and I can't find anything like that. It used to be that as soon as the phone was connected, the computer would register it and in settings under 'connected devices' it would say 'Nokia Lumia 635' and simply clicking on that would allow me to view the photos.0

Take it you have tried a different usb socket and cable?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

On a widows pc it would possibly be a driver issue i am not familiar with a chromebook so not sure if you have to download a driver. Windows mobile is becoming more obsolete. So maybe a chromebook update has stopped recognising your windows phone.
Are you able to install google photos from your windows app store? If not can you intstall onedrive on your chromebook to view photos on both devices?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
