Pathetic I know but....
Always had V8s/6s, something with a nice 'note'. Now I am older, have bought an old mans car. Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. No sound/noise from exhaust. I don't want the 'turbo whistle' (easily solved), but a bit of a noise/roar. Have seen something at £1000 !!!!! Can't find anything to bung in the end of the exhaust to enhance. don't want to change any exhaust parts.
Any ideas for a wally like me please

    You're never going to get anything other than exhaust "noise" out your 1.5 litre as it doesnt have the cc to transmit any sort of note. You might get induction noise if you play around at that end i guess.

    Personally - i wouldnt bother. You could very easily end up with a car that is just plain noisy around town for no good reason and boomy at speed on a motorway.

    Sorry :(

    How will you know the difference, unless you stand outside whilst someone else drives?

    For £30 what's not to like? ;)

    When you get bored of driving a Shelby V8 you can just unplug it, or change the radio station.

    Its not a daft idea at all.

    Its not that long ago that the 160BHP or so in your car would have needed a 2.5i straight six or similar. Now its all small turbo'd four pots. :(

    Sign of the times....

    Just drive in busy residential streets late at night with the window open and every time your change gear shout 'bang crackle fizz psssssssst' out the window. Sorted.

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    I still think that sounder is a great idea, you can imagine you are driving A Proper Car without the pitying amused glances of passers by (No they are not impressed by an engine that sounds like it is about to fall out and has a severe air leak ;))

    I'm seriously thinking of getting the £60 one, you can add your own sound samples- think 6.2 V8 Detroit Diesel, now that would make me feel all warm and tingly inside :cool:
