Having to leave work - Am I entitled to claim?

    Has just occurred to me that I have overlooked the details of your circumstances.

    As the parent of a two year old you would fall to be in the work preparation requirement and work focused interview group. You would not be in the all work related requirements group. You are not therefore required to be in work. You therefore cannot be sanctioned for giving up work.

    There are some regular posters on here more familiar with the workings of UC than me - hopefully one of them can confirm whether or not this is correct.
    Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
