DWP asking for money from estate

The registrar doesn't inform DWP of a death! That's the next of kind responsibility.
Actually they can do. they ask if you want to use the "tell me once" service.
Did this for mother and while we sat there they informed:
Blue Badge, DWP, NHS Pensions, Local Authority - saved a huge amount of chasing people0 -
