Inheritance tax estate report - still in review after 3 months

I submitted an inheritance tax estate report online back in early March for my father's estate for which I am executor. Its the online version of the IHT205 for estates where no IHT is due.

All the estate proceeds are going to my mother as his spouse - so it should be a simple case.

The website says this case is still under review after 3.5 months - even though it says estate reviews should be completed in two?

Should I be worried about this or is this delay normal - perhaps indirectly related to the probate backlog due to the fee rise?

Very unlikely you need to worry; such delays are very common, largely because the time estimates on all these blessed government websites are wildly optimistic.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
