Morning all. Lovely here again this morning. We sat in the garden yesterday under the umbrella and the birds entertained us having baths and coming to the feeders. They especially like the dried mealworms and will come very close to us to get them. John did some weeding along the side of the front drive. Several loads of washing dried on the line as well.

I forgot to say yesterday that Steve had a phone call from the hospital to say that they can't do his chemo on Monday so they've moved his treatment to Saturday and Sunday. Good job we're not away. It will spoil his golf plans with Chris though.
Clinic appointment tomorrow and we'll get the results of his CT scan. We're expecting good news so it will be a shock if it's not. Then we're going straight down the M11 to pick up Ziggy for the weekend, Laura an Brian are going to see his family in Glasgow. Laura was supposed to go to Bristol for work yesterday but felt so tired on the tube that she turned round and went home before she got to Paddington.
Gers, I'm glad your mum got her plate fixed, dad's was lost when he was in hospital so he spent the last two years of his life without one.
AOD, the new house sounds a lot better than the old.
TA, good luck getting the bottle light.0 -
Good morning all. Finished my crochet blanket last night - I'm pleased with it so I feel brave enough to hand it over as a gift later today. I remember when my first baby was born an elderly lady from across the road knocked at the door with a lovely hand knitted matinee jacket, bootees and bonnet she had made. It was a lemon colour and as I hadn't known if baby was going to be a boy or girl it went with all the white and yellow babygros that we'd bought. It was such a kind gesture. I don't think matinee jackets, bonnets and bootees are worn much by modern babies.
I hope the sun is shining where you are.0 -

Gers - I would recommend podcasts as well as music. Or even audio books.
Thanks Speky - I already enjoy loads of podcasts, got David Tennant, Infinity Monkey Cage, comedies, quiz shows and true crime ones. Keeps me quiet at night and will use them when walking.0 -
