If the OP wanted to change to a domestic contract with another supplier, then yes, it could cost thousands. A cheaper alternative would be to pick up a used/refurbished electricity meter from ebay so that an accurate account of usage can be determined. A meter would cost somewhere between £25 & £80, fitting it, £200-300 depending on existing cabling layout.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
