Beware when switching from Electric Ireland

If you are in credit after you switch their
policy seems to be to keep the money if
you don’t ask for it back.

That was my experience.

When I enquired why mine hadn’t been
returned they replied,

Hi
Thanks for getting in touch with us today.
We would only refund back to a customer’s bank account when they would request it.

If you want, I can certainly request for the amount to be refunded back into your account.
Regard

I find the comparison tool a bit irritating, I just want to know the cheapest rate, happy to pay DD or pre-pay with e-bill or not to get it.

Anyway, just had a look at factoring in the £25 annual bonus with Electric Ireland (which you have to chase) they're still cheaper for us than anyone else based on 2,600 units/year
