Where to put my savings?

Need bit of advice really. Have a current account and mortgage with Halifax.
I dont have much savings. Around 1k at the moment but i want to start saving regular every month Most regular savings account are poor.
Anyone got any advice on what i should do?

I'm not sure about your claim that most regular savings accounts are poor. 5% to me seems pretty good. If I had a choice starting with £1000 that would be where I'd look firstRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Maybe you could re-visit the thread you started asking much the same thing almost exactly a year ago? In that thread you were given lots of advice (much the same as you've been/will be given here) and reminded of another thread you'd started, and received advice on, some time earlier.Need bit of advice really. In summary, 5% is available with Nationwide and TSB for lump sums, and Nationwide have a 5% regular saver...none of which are "poor" rates!0 -
