Me too. 6 days ago, the pilot announced how excited he was to be flying a new plane. It was very shiny and new- had only been delivered the previous day. I can see that Comair have grounded it.

So we are booked with TUI to fly on the 23rd from Gatwick....on a 737 Max 8.

I messaged TUI via Twitter this morning before the grounding. Obviously I was happy to hear that they have all been grounded. Then about two hours after the news broke, I got a message back saying we are scheduled to fly....on a 737 Max 8. My reply was a bit tounge in cheek but did ask for clarification!
I understand they are a bit inundated with questions, but perhaps they shouldn’t have put profits before safety and grounded the planes before being forced to by the CAA.
Not impressed with the copy and paste reply they appear to be sending to customers.

I found it had some nice features like a phone charging socket and streaming entertainment to your phone or iPad but the seats were uncomfortable.

I found them pretty hard and certainly didn't feel relaxed.

All of that is to do with the airline and what they've chosen to fit it with. You can get the same features in 20+ year old aircraft.

Has anyone been successful in claiming for a delay? TUI rejected my daughter’s claim. They were delayed 5 hours and didn’t land until 12.45am instead of 7.45pm. She has a 3 year old and a 6 month old child. They didn’t travel back until Friday 15 th March and the Max 8 planes were grounded on Monday 11th March so surely they should have organised an alternative aircraft by then. Does she have a case? If so should she fight the claim herself or pay a company to do it?

TUI originally stated on 11th March they would not ground their fleet but were forced to on the 12th when EASA suspended all European 737 max operations.
Given that most airlines don't have a large supply of spare aircraft available they then need to look into leasing. If the aircraft are different then their usual then they may also need flight crew to fly the planes.
