Tesco current account 3 direct debits - how

How are you guys all making direct debits to yourselves? Tesco online banking won't let me create any direct debit at all.

their website says along the same lines https://yourcommunity.tescobank.com/t5/Current-Accounts/How-do-I-set-up-a-direct-debit/ta-p/18481

So are you making direct debits to charity or how are you creating 3 DDs to other accounts? Am I missing something here

One DD mandate to take £10 every week from your Tesco current account will do the job.

Needs 3 payments each account month. Not three different mandates.

PO money bring out new versions of their on line saver on a regular basis, so you can service two Tesco current accounts from two PO accounts quite quickly.

Or look at Birmingham Midshires, but you need a linked current account with a chequebook to open. Once opened, you can change the linked account.

One thing to be careful of with using regular monthly DDs to get interest from Tesco, is that you have to have three DD payments every account month. I tried using my Tesco accounts with proper DDs, but some of them were due on the cusp of the account month, with the result that some months I would only have 2 DDs paid (and get no interest) and some months I would have 4.
