What can somebody do if they just start self employment and have a very very low income, but the benefits people dont believe them?

But in reality they get less
Unless they fall into an exempt category they will not be able claim tax credits as all areas of UK are now Universal Credit Live as such the calculations are totally different.0 -
You need to prove that you are self-employed by supplying the benefits people with things like your business bank account details, invoices issued, supplier invoices, receipts etc. And, if you are self employed you should be registered with HMRC and have a UTR which you can also supply to them.0

Your question needs more context. Are you asking what benefits somebody can claim or you saying that said person has claimed a benefit but is having difficulty with the DWP progressing the claim.
