Refund on sale items

Hi,
I want to buy some sale items from axparis.com but will return whatever is not suitable. Their refund policy states:
'Any returned sale items will not be refunded via the payment method used, however we will issue a gift voucher/ card for the same amount to be used on the website. This does not affect your statutory rights.'
However, as this is distance selling and I have not seen the items, I should be allowed to receive a refund. From gov.uk:
Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods aren’t faulty. Sales of this kind are known as ‘distance selling’.
You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you.
You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back. They don’t have to provide a reason.
Any advice on what to do in this situation? I have finally found items that are perfect and would like to order them, but do not want to be stuck with store credit when I return whatever is not suitable.
Thanks

I found an axparis on companies house with the same address but it was dissolved in 2015.
I found the proper one too they are still trading from same address.
They aren't allowed to do what they are doing with sale items but now you know what they will do why take the risk?
Report them and move on, any problems from here on in are your own doing.0 -
I've seen a couple of places doing this, and also the 'items in the sale are non returnable' - I know its often done this way in the US but I've only recently seen online stores over here doing it - Did wonder if it was legal.0

I like that they've added that the t&c don't affect your statutory rights when clearly they do.
Cowboys who you shouldn't touch with a bargepole. Please don't come back with "yes, but it's really cheap compared with everywhere else". You will soon find out why it's cheap.
I often find that places with highly suspect t&c's tend to send out highly suspect products too. You may find what you get isn't exactly what you ordered.0 -
Thanks a lot everyone!
I agree, I won't shop there. Crazy that they can get away with such an outrageous statement which I am sure plenty of people will just take as fact.0 -

You could refer them to City of Salford Trading Standards, but don't hold your breath on anything being done.0 -
