Stayed Case but DQ received

Good evening

I defended a claim on the 15th October 2018 and was told two weeks ago (30/11/18) by CCBC that the case had been “stayed” as the claimant did not contact the court with 28 days.

I have returned home from work to find a DQ on my doormat. I have gone on to the moneyclaim website and it shows the claimant filed their DQ on the 9th December, CCBC then sent one to me the same day.

I was under the impression that the claimant had to apply to a judge for an order to lift the stay. I will try and speak to someone at CCBC tomorrow but has this happened to anyone else and how do I go about challenging the fact they did not respond to my defence in time?
