Platform for small amount to be left

Hi,
I'm 19 British citizen, and have accured 6k this year I'll be leaving to return to my home of Australia next year where I am unlikely to return to the UK for the next 4 years and so will not be touching it. During this time, if I keep this small amount in GBP where best should invest it in? Alternatively should I just open a 2 year savings account with Barclays?
