EU Licence, UK insurance

Hi all. Question for your insurance guys.
I live in Tenerife, Spain. I am a resident and as such hold a Spanish issued EU drivers licence. Previous to exchanging the licence I had held a UK license for approx 40 years.
The reason for the question is that I am considering buying a car to keep in UK. I have not yet found a solution for insurance either in my own name, or as a named driver (my son tried)
Can you help, by recommending an insurance company, or broker.
Many thanks for reading
Graham Harris
