    All, just a quick update.

We now have all things in place for my mum
    Macmillan team in place
    District nurse in place
Occupational health team been and provided mum with the things that she
    needs
Attendance allowance paid to her account today, waiting on letter to confirm
Carers form all completed and ready to go
Blue badge applied for and received
    McMillan grant applied for

Mums has her one round of radiotherapy last week, so just waiting for next consultation appointment

Thanks for all your help, it’s very difficult to find out what you are entitled to, as its such a mine field.

Good luck with things and sorry to hear about with Mum

Have you checked on entitled to and other sites to see what other benefits she may be eligible for. If she gets attendance allowance she will have a higher threshold to qualify for means tested benefits like pension credit and CTS. It all helps - and the sooner you claim the more she gets and they can backdated it in some cases.

Mum is not entitled to anything else, as she owns own own house an receives two private pensions. Thanks for your comments.

Attendance Allowance is based purely on need - it's not means tested.

O0 has said that AA has been claimed and is in payment.

Just an update on mum, she died peacefully yesterday with her family at her bedside.

She fought her cancer with dignity and lived her life fully
We are as a family devastated and broken hearted
