    Left British Gas and my local leccy firm ,Swalec, in 2000. Never been back -reckon I've saved ~ £5k at least by shopping around over the years:T

    A few weeks back, I finally, after a couple of years of whinging at one of my family members to do a comparison of what she was paying BG with other suppliers, we input her energy useage into CheapEnergyClub and discovered she was effectively overpaying by almost £550 a year on BG's SVT. It took just 10 minutes to swap her to a dual fuel tariff with another supplier. By her own admission, she had just become oblivious to what she was forking out on her D/D every month. Turned out to be quite a result.
