I received a letter today saying i may be entitled to esa income related from july 2013 and may be entitled to premiums. What does this mean and will i get any back pay? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm guessing that you were previously on Incapacity Benefit and were transferred to ESA. When that happened your claim should have been reassessed to see if you had any additional entitlement to Income Related benefits. In many instances that didn't happen so DWP are still playing catch-up. You will receive a form ESA3 to enable DWP to now do that reassessment. If it is found that you were entitled to additional premiums they will be backdated to July 2013.0
