I've got a great sense of humour. You are probably not going to agree with that after reading this post!

The previous thread descended into suggestions (however tongue in cheek) of how to, somehow, pass parking tickets on to MPs. There were also comments about MPs being lazy and having their noses in the trough and doing nothing about PPCs. Given there is a bill, sponsored by Greg Knight, with all party support working it's way through the rigours of the Parliamentary process that is patently nonsense. And I can perfectly see why MSE would delete a thread that was (possibly) advocating criminal action.

More to the point there are folks on here giving a lot their time and effort to helping those who get tickets from PPCs. It's an emotive subject for them and for others who post here. However, despite what is said, it's not something that the majority of the public have a clear view on (until it happens to them). I see both sides but am in awe of those who, freely, expend so much in assisting others.

This is still a minority issue and a lot of people with no stake read this forum. When they see posters here advocating (however tongue in cheek) criminal action how are they going to feel. And what do you think MPs are thinking when a subject that is going to be bought before them has comments from one of the primary anti PPC forums about "fitting them up"? Cos you know these things, especially on a forum which has strong views, quite often have a habit of appearing in their in trays.....

It's not something that gives me sleepless nights - indeed some times I think a poster has got what they deserve. But I have huge respect for certain of the regulars on this forum

Personally, I believe you are doing them a disservice by returning to this.

I was going to go further but will sit on my hands!

Protection from Harassment Act suggests it could be.

Isn't this just a rerun of a thread that has already been removed?

Why has the subject been reintroduced then?

And with regards to "someone explain how it's criminal??" There is no answer to that as only the CPS can initiate and only a judge can decide. So anything else is hot air.

But the challenge remains and the inference is that the OP should do it rather than incite it, and report back.

Yes, of course. Worth a try. Let us know how a nobody joe public gets on, versus an MP.
