10 minutes over!

Hi everyone

I received a parking fine letter from the car park of my local ALDI.

Frustratingly I am only 10 minutes over and having done some research I am aware that you are supposed to be allowed an extra 10 minutes. Is the fine therefore invalid?

I do have a receipt for this visit also, the time of which is 4 minutes before the time they recorded me leaving the car park.

What would be the best way to approach this please?

I have tried to add an image of the letter below the am
Unable to do so as a new member.

Many thanks
Sarah

At the top of this board is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. Post 1 of that thread has instructions on what to do and has a template letter to send.

    Is this Parking Eye?

    Is this Parking Eye.

Regardless, complain to the CEO as a customer
to get this cancelled, enclose your receipt

    ALDI UK

Mr Giles Hurley Chief Executive Officer

    Email gmd.cs@aldi.co.uk

A strongly worded letter should suffice.

  • Thank you and sorry. I saw that but wasn!!!8217;t sure whether I should go down the route of only being 10 minutes over, or using the receipt as proof I was indeed shopping there.

    Thanks

Their code of conduct says to allow a grace period,
normally 10 mins in and 10 minutes out

As a customer you have a right to complain
  • I have emailed the CEO as suggested, thank you for your help.

Well make sure you get it in writing/email from Aldi and the parking company you seem unwilling to name.

Or look up your PCN on PE's website tomorrow or Monday, and see if it says £0 to pay.

Always, always, complain to the retailer first about a PPC fake fine.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
