Hi

We are looking to relocate due to work my partner needs to be able to get to east croydon via train and myself to Southampton central. Does anyone have any recommendations for this? I think we've narrowed it to Winchester or eastleigh but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Likewise any advice on areas to avoid etc.

    Somewhere that's easy to get the train for Southampton and Croydon.


    Why Winchester and Eastleigh, bit unfair on your partner with a longer journey.

    I suppose most of the Surrey locations are expensive as is Winchester.
    What about the Basingstoke area?

    Mainly due to the types of jobs we have and the hours we will need to work. Any other suggestions are welcomed!

    We don't know basingstoke very well where would you recommend looking? Ideally would want to be walking distance to the station.

    That's true. But you'd definitely need to use trains. The drive from Woking into Croydon's a killer even thought it may not look far on a map.
