We are moving where our electric supply enters the house and the electric meter. UK Power Network have been booked to move our supply and say that our electric supplier must reconnect the meter. Is this correct or can my electrician reconnect my meter?? I have to wait a week before the metering department at my supplier will call me back!!

Your electrician cannot do this work - it has to be a metering installer working for your supplier.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Ring your supplier on the day stating you are off supply and that you have children under 5 in the house, borrow one if you don't have your own.0
