Don't know who to ask

Been receiving letters from finance company for previous tenants on house. They were renters and I have bought it. I have phoned the companies concerned and told them that I am not the person involved and returned the letters un opened saying Not at this address return. This has been going on for over 12 months. The company wrote me a letter saying that unless I can tell them where the people are then the letters will carry on Under the financial conducts authority guidelines. Don't know what to do next.

I'm in a similar position, 5 years later still receiving occasional statements for former occupants. I just feed them to the shredder nowadays.0

This is what Royal Mail advise :
If you’ve received mail which has your address, but not your name, this is because we deliver to addresses rather than names. If this does happen, you can put a cross through the address and write 'Not known at this address' or 'No longer lives here' and put it back in a letterbox. Where possible, we’ll return the item to the sender hopefully allowing them to update their records.
