Monzo or other app as joint account?

Hi,

Can Monzo be used as a joinet account? If not, then is there another app based bank that can?

It would be ideal for me an my wife to use for budgeting and monthly spending,

    Monzo don't offer joint accounts.

    I'm not sure about other app-based banks

    I don't believe any of the app based accounts provide a joint account option at present.

    It may well not be practical for app based banks to offer joint accounts, with the complication of two phones, two phone numbers and two separately installed apps for the same account.

    However they all offer instant transfer of funds between their account holders.

    It does seem to be something that are at least considering, according to their FAQs

    Unfortunately we don't currently offer joint accounts however we'd love to in the future. You can always get your partner to download the app and get their own account as a temporary measure.

    Starling...
    For future developments on joint accounts keep your eyes peeled.

    I use Monzo to a very limited extent and am pretty happy with it. Once either Monzo or Starling have joint accounts, I will start using to a greater extent.

    Monzo has now stated its intention to have joint accounts available within the next 2 months

    Me and my partner use my starling account as a joint account. Both have it on Apple Pay. He has the card and I have the card set up on my curve. Works well.
