Hotels in Krakow

Hi

I am going to Krakow with my wife for 4 days in July.

Can anyone advise of a good hotel at a good price close to the old town.

Thanks
Val :)

i stayed in the "aparthotel stare miasto" and it was great.

as the name suggests they are apartments in a converted house which is approx 3mins walk from the old town square and 15min walk from the train station, where you will need to get to if you want to take a bus to auschwitz or arrive from the airport by train.
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right

we have stayed in the Antique apartments and Hotel rezydent.

Both very close to the old town square, we loved both and would return to either depending on wether we wanted an apartment or a hotel

if you use the search function you will get many more recomendations

I've stopped in the Rezydent before. It's fairly basic accommodation but only a stone's throw (or vodka shot?) from the main square so I'm sure you could get better and/or cheaper by stopping a little further out. There are loads of places around the railway station and only 10 minute walk into town.

We stayed in an airbnb overlooking the square. Would recommend being near to the square as a location.

Agreed there is better, but we had a very large room with a modern bathroom and from memory it came to about £140 per person for 2 of us for 3 nights inc flights and breakfast ,as you say it is almost on the square.

I think it fits the bill of being a good price, good hotel and close to town

We stayed in the Hotel Kossak. Our room was great, overlooking Wawel castle and the river. We could walk into town or take a tram.

We stayed at the Europeski hotel, right across the square from the train station. Lovely hotel and three minutes walk from Krakow Central, handy for Stare Maistro (sp?) and all other sites walkable via the Royal Way pathways.
Enjoy Krakow wherever you decide to stay, it's a wonderful city.
    Normal people worry me.
