Printer not showing up in control panel

I'm setting up my HP envy 5000 to my new router. I have been having trouble (that's another story) but have finally managed to print something. I had to uninstall and reinstall the HP software but now there's no sign of the printer in control panel. Shouldn't it be there?

p.s. story of the trouble - HP printer keeps losing the router saying it's not connected to any network and I have to keep setting it up to make it work.

In had issues with my hp office jet, eventually i had to remove some extra stuff before i could get it showing, will try and find the link

This was about the printer not printing in colour, but the bit that tells you to go into command area to remove stuff, it might need that. Once i had done that i have been able to connect my printer :-)

Thanks! I have no idea but it has now appeared in control panel. Even though I didn't do anything else.
