                    Hi
Halifax Bank offered us a deal of £750 cash back if we take out the mortgage. We have completed the house purchase. Does this £750 cashback come through Halifax bank or through the solicitor?
Thank you

Two seconds on Halifax's website found...
https://www.halifax.co.uk/mortgages/landing/cashback/
"cashback will be paid on completion through your conveyancer"
...and that's without even looking in the reams of paperwork that you undoubtedly have.0 -
Have you checked that hasn't already been accounted for in your completion statement?0

I tried googling it but I couldn!!!8217;t find anything.
No, nothing on completion statement. It was just our fees and how much we have paid.0 -

Mine ended up wrapped up into everything else. I didn!!!8217;t get it in my pocket. I think it came off the mortgage fee or something

Did you check whether the loan amount on the statement was the basic amount, or did it already have the cashback built into it? Unless they've changed things recently, the cashback should reach the solicitor at the same time as the main mortgage advance. If in doubt, ask your solicitor.0
