Certificate of resisdence for bank in India

We are trying to get some money from account in India.
They wanted a certificate of residence from the UK.
From the HMRC we got a certificate of it fiscal residence from April 2016-2017.
We had a reply from the bank in India saying it expired in April 2017.
I’m not sure what they want?
