Paying interest on ppi

My partner and I took out a loan with Black Horse in 2008 which we are still paying off.
I honestly can't remember how the ppi was sold to us but I do know that we were never told that we would have to borrow the ppi and pay interest on it.
The total cost of the ppi is £7,800 with £6,783.60
Total £14,583.60
Do I have a legitimate claim for miss sold Ppi?

Make a complaint that you were sold single premium PPI. It''s a legitimate reason.

Yes, Single Premium reason. This was basically a loan on the loan to be repaid over the term with interest
  • I sent my complaint to Black Horse using Resolver and gave them the loan agreement number but they wrote to me saying they had no record of any loan in my name.
I then e-mailed them back with a copy of the original loan agreement which clearly showed the ppi and the interest.
They have since wrote back saying they are unable to review my complaint with the information I have supplied and have closed the complaint.
They then go on to say if I have any further evidence to support this complaint to contact them and they will re-open the complaint.
We consider this our final response.
What further evidence do I need to provide?

So theyhave no records immediately available.

The next and only step left if you have no more evidence is to send a SAR and £10 to see what is actually left, but you may well be wasintg £10. It's up to you.

  • All I have is a copy of the original loan agreement but I can obtain bank statements showing my monthly payments.
    Would that be sufficient evidence?

If you have all or a substantial amount yes.

A SAR is to see all of the info a company hold on you, so if you need more info, do that.

DOn't send original statements, send copies with your complaint.
