The only one besides CIFAS is National Hunter, but Hunter isn't a fraud prevention agency and you'll never be declined straight off the bat because of something Hunter says (it is more to allow banks to compare notes on applications to ensure that information given is consistent between them and indicate if there's a potential for fraud.)
If CIFAS say they have no data then it must be something else - bit confused how a share dealing site got you into trouble though.
And National SIRA (run by Synectics Solutions).0 -
Wouldn't LBG be prohibited from sharing data with TSB? I would imagine that they would be breaking the law if they did.
What banks should be doing or what banks are allowed to do and what they actually do are not the same.
But if Lloyds (TSB) and TSB never shared shared how was the transfer of branches and customers from Lloyds (TSB) to TSB achieved? Moreover how far is that data sharing extended?
Doesn't really take a genius to work it out.0 -

This is simple. They used to share - because they were once the same bank using 2 trading names, Lloyds TSB and Lloyds TSB Scotland. They went through a process of divesting TSB from Lloyds. Once that was complete TSB was operating as a totally separate bank.
You may remember specific branches were transferred to Lloyds TSB Scotland? The Scottish bank had it's own licence, separately from Lloyds TSB. So all Lloyds TSB Scotland, some LTSB in England, and C&G if I remember rightly had their sort codes transferred to Lloyds TSB Scotland.
Then, sharing stopped when Lloyds TSB Scotland was split off and launched as TSB, while Lloyds TSB in England reverted to Lloyds Bank. TSB was a whole new bank. It's now owned by Sabadel - a major Spanish bank. How likely do you think it is that Sabadel would be happy with LBG seeing their accounts?0
