Ebay returns, have I done all I need?

no, they are asking you to return it by the 'cheapest method' - the return label will not have tracking on it. You won't be able to prove delivery - and the address you send it to will not be their official return address. No tracked return to the listed return address = no refund.
Leave this to Ebay. Trust me. They are playing you.0 -
When the seller provides the label, make sure it is suitable for the item (i.e. tracked and insured for the item's full value) before you post.
No need for it to be insured. If it arrives damaged, then it's the sellers problem, not yours, and if it gets lost enroute, ebay will still refund, as long as the tracking details are uploaded in the ebay resolution centre against the return.0 -
Sorry to resurrect this post..
But on advice here I have stopped responding to the sellers daily requests that I send the item back and the promise they will reimburse postage and waited it out (Seems like forever) and their insistence they wont provide a return label.
The returns page say:
Get ready to send the item back
The seller should send a return postage label to you by 21 Jul, 2017. If you don't receive it, ask us to step in and help on 22 Jul, 2017.
So what happens next? will this page change tomorrow with a new link to "ask us to step in"? or should I be looking elsewhere? honestly the site is a maze these days to find things.
Thanks.0 -

Yes, you will get a 'ask us to step in' but you won't be able to do this until the 23rd, Ebay for some reason always get the date wrong here..there will be no 'ask us to step in' tomorrow, there will be sometime after midnight on the 23rd.0 -
I had a similar issue recently.
I made sure I added the request for the seller to supply me with a return label in the open case. I then asked again, noting they were ignoring my requests. It showed I had tried to get it returned but the seller wasnt cooperating.0 -
Seller claims they cannot send me a label, but with feedback of 71,000 and hundreds (maybe thousands) of items for sale I don't believe them as much smaller sellers have done so before easily enough.
I was under the impression when it escalates if I tell Ebay they have refused to send a return label then Ebay will do it for them somehow? or more dragging it out to come?
I really want to get this in the post before end of the month when we are away.0 -

They don't want to send you a label as the return address will be in China / HK, not UK as claimed. This is the reason for 'can't'
Just follow what I said earlier, it's not complicated, just escalate when you can.
As the seller has claimed to have the item located in the UK, when they are overseas, very high chances you will get a refund without a return due to the false location details.0 -

Great thank you. Anyone want a tablet that won't connect to wifi? make a nice table mat, picture frame? glow in the dark roof tile? :rotfl:0 -

Absolutely spot on claim button went live, told Ebay they wont issue a label and want a return to an unregistered address.
Got a full refund (without return) within 3 minutes!
Item now can go in the bin.
Thanks for all the advice here.0 -
