Is there a truly English bank (based in England) that does not offshore it's eg. IT business to other countries ? And no I am not a racist etc.
Thanks
Dave

You may want to try some of the smaller building societies.

Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D

What would be special about such a bank?

    Sounds xenophobic to me.

Depends on what you want the account for. Coventry Building Society?

:T Indeed they are. Well done both. Perhaps my smiley face wasn't interpreted as intended.

So it was just a completely pointless post as it's not even funny!

    Sweet Jesus.

Here we go - the xenophobia flag hoisted high and proud.

Anyone remember when we were encouraged to 'Buy British'? I assume that is xenophobic nowadays too?

When you say "offshore its IT business", are you concerned about the jurisdiction that your financial data will be stored in?

For example, if the data is stored on US servers, The Patriot Act allows U.S. law enforcement and intelligence organisations to examine the data.

Or do you just mean that you prefer to deal with UK based customer service teams?
