Northern Rock credit card: re-discovered statement from 2000. A valid claim for mis-s

Hi,
Am hoping that someone might be able to help me with some advice here.
I've held the same credit card since 2000. It's a Visa card and was originally issued by Northern Rock: I had a mortgage with them and so was eligible for a very low interest rate on the card at the time. I recollect being given card insurance when the card was issued and that, at some point, I had the insurance discontinued after querying a figure on a statement.
Northern Rock no longer administer the card - this is now handled by the Co-Op. I've called the Co-Op re. this but they have said that they will have no record of any PPI on the card when it was being handled by Northern Rock. However, today I've found a Northern Rock credit card statement from 8 December 2000. On it there's a charge for £10 to 'Sentinal Card Services' and an accompanying eight figure reference.
Can anybody advise me if this relates in any way to PPI and, if so, how I might pursue this, given that Northern Rock no longer administers this card?
Many thanks.

It's not PPI, it's card protection. Not sure on the second point though I am afraid.0

A similar scheme administered by CPP was ordered to pay compensation for mis-selling, but this was because the cover was already provided by their accounts (Barclaycard) - more info here http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-2401051/I-sold-similar-card-protection-product-CPP.html0
