What to do near calais?

We are in Kent during the february school holidays and was able to book a dover/calais ferry with p&o for £17 rt so we are going to fill the car with diesel & wine and also now have a day and a half on the continent. We will do abit of shopping but can anyone recommend somewhere to go for a night?
We have 2 young kids but don't mind driving a couple of hours from Calais.
We've done lots of France, Disney, Paris etc so was thinking somewhere in Belgium or maybe holland.
Just a nice friendly city to have a wander round or maybe an attraction that would interest a 5 & 2 year old.
For the ferry deal google daily mail p&o offer and follow the link. You don't need any tokens or anything.
Thanks

Bruges is about an hour away. The Belgian coast is nice - cafes and windswept beaches in Feb - and is even closer

Dunkirk is nice and Brugge is definitely where I would spend my day! Park in the train station car park 2.5 euros for the day and walk 10 min till town centre.

Roubaix up near the Belgian border; an old mill town with an interesting industrial past and now regenerated with modern facilities, galleries etc also a centre for Outlet shopping. Not too many Brits there - a bonus.

Boulogne sur Mer, fantastic aquaruim called Nausicca there :D xx It's way superior in my opinion than any sealife I've been too.
