Anyone Heard Of Evemont Consulting

Options
They offered to sell our timeshare which we stupidly bought years ago!:o
Today, the lady phones up saying they have a couple that want our week at a good price. She then then asks for £1300. What??
She says they are based in Spain, but we can't find them on Google. Only other people asking about the company.
We told her we didn't think she was legit and we wouldn't be paying anything upfront.
Anyone had any dealings with them?

These are generally a scam and I believe these companies base themselves in Spain as the laws are not as strict there (I could be wrong).

There have been some of these companies on BBC Watchdog, they ask for a fee for a customer they have waiting, there is no customer. To make it worse the ones on Watchdog got the people to fly out to Spain to meet the agents and it was just to get them to sit in front of new time share salesmen.

Please be very careful if you do decide to sell your Timeshare

Thought as much. It has scam written all over it.
All we are doing is saving to pay off the loan then selling the timeshare back to the company itself, even though their offer was shocking!! Just want rid to be honest.

I believe there are some genuine places that you can sell / trade your timeshare for a reasonable price. You may find details of them in the watchdog report

My parents are in same boat ... I did see a website that did timeshare rents ... so you could advertise your timeshare & someone would rent your week .... cann't remember name ...

The fees are just so expensive now ... with cheap flights etc, just not worth it now ..

You could try selling on ebay ???

Or - if you're really lucky - they might try to get additional payments out of you (or sell you other products) once you've coughed up the first payment.

    Hi,

Just remember that the value of timeshares are very low, so resales values are very low as well .... don't expect much when trying to sell.
